Xiaomi has released the Redmi Note 14 series in the Philippines, and today, we’ll be focusing on the Redmi Note 14, which comes in 4G and 5G models.
Both the Redmi Note 14 and Note 14 5G share similar looks, AI features, and a few extras like stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and even a 108-megapixel main camera. But, they are far more different than you might imagine.
Xiaomi did a better job at distancing the 5G model from the 4G to encourage you to pay more. For starters, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, while the former uses the Helio G99 Ultra.
It also has optical image stabilization for the main camera and gains a more useful 8-megapixel ultra-wide. Plus, its 120Hz AMOLED display gets brighter at 2100 nits, while the 4G-only model is capped at 1800 nits.
Durability is a big deal for this year’s Redmi Note series. Hence, the 5G variant has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, while the 4G variant only has an IP54. On the upside, both will come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The 5G model also has a faster 45W charging, albeit its 5,110mAh battery is smaller than the 4G’s 5,500mAh capacity.
You can get the Redmi Note 14 5G for a price of Php13,999 for the 8GB/256GB model and Php16,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 14 comes in 8GB/256GB, 8GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB (Shopee Exclusive) for Php9,999, Php8,999, and Php7,999 (Php6,999 early-bird price), respectively. They will come with a free Xiaomi Smart Band 8.
