One of Xiaomi’s smallest, most affordable tablets is finally here in the Philippines. Meet the Redmi pad SE 8.7.
The Redmi Pad SE 8.7, as the name suggests, has a smaller 8.7-inch HD+ IPS screen, which is more compact than the also-new Infinix XPAD. It has a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, 600-nit peak brightness, 10-bit color, and 2048 levels of brightness adjustment.
For the processor, we have a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core CPU — an entry-level chip fit for an entry-level tablet.
You have two storage options: 64GB and 128GB — both with 4GB of RAM. The storage can still be expanded up to 2TB via the microSD card slot.
It also has stereo speakers via the two drivers on each side. Dolby Atmos is also supported. A 5-megapixel selfie camera is on top of the display and an 8-megapixel sensor on the back for selfies paired with its own LED flash that we don’t usually on budget tablets like this.
Of course, it will run on the latest Android 14-based HyperOS, just like the more expensive Redmi Pad Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro.
The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 4GB/64GB has an SRP of Php6,999 while the 4GB/128GB is at Php7,999. Get it today until September 4 on Shopee Philippines for an early bird price of only Php5,399 and Php6,399, respectively.
