Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has introduced a new budget-friendly tablet for the global market. The new Redmi Pad SE, like its cousins, poses an interesting value with its decent processor, large display and battery, and of course, an affordable price tag.
The new Redmi Pad SE features an 11-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, a high 90Hz refresh rate, and TUV Rheinland low blue light certification. A decent combo for those who want a large-screen experience that doesn’t break the bank.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor that’s built on a 6nm process. It is paired with 128GB of expandable storage and three RAM options: 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB.
The Pad SE draws power from the 8,000mAh battery, which isn’t the biggest we’ve seen, especially for an 11-inch tablet. What’s disappointing is, it’s only paired with a 10W charging adapter.
On the back, we have a large camera island that holds the single 8-megapixel main camera. A 5-megapixel selfie camera is on the front.
Xiaomi also threw in a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. There’s also a headphone jack if you need it. No cellular option nor a fingerprint scanner, unfortunately.
The Redmi Pad SE has a price of EUR199 (~Php12,300), EUR229 (~Php14,100), and EUR249 (~Php15,400) for the 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB variants. No word yet if it will also arrive in the Philippines.
