After teasing it for months and making it available to select users, GCash’s stock trading feature called GStocks is finally available for all users.
The new GStocks PH feature will allow GCash users to buy stocks from companies listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). The feature is made possible thanks to the partnership with AB Capital Securities.
GCash is finally launching the feature to the public after it received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The GStocks feature is available right within the GCash app. Users will have to register for the service before they can trade stocks of over 280 Philippine companies listed on the PSE.
To register, the user must be at least 18 years old and uses a fully verified GCash account. You have to reload a dedicated stock trading wallet to start trading.
According to Executive Chairman Antonio Jose Periquet Jr. of the AB Capital Group, their partnership with the GCash and PSE will be a big boost to the national government’s move to improve financial inclusion in the country.
With over 80 million users, GCash has the potential to introduce stock trading to the mainstream market. It is said that there are only 1.6 million Filipino investing via traditional investment houses on the PSE, which is only about 1% of the total population.
The GStocks PH will have tons of features like 24/7 portfolio access, direct research reports, stock watchlist, direct order entry and modification, real-time quotes, bid and ask columns, intraday charts, PSE news, stock price alerts, and company disclosures.
