Amid efforts aimed at capturing Filipino viewers’ attention by various networks, no other program piques it more than GMA Network’s flagship newscast 24 Oras, according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
From January 1 to July 31, 2023, data showed that 24 Oras holds the title of the most watched TV program, based on Total Philippines, which combines information gathered from both the rural and urban regions. The program had a consolidated (GMA/GTV/IHM) people rating of 14.9 percent.
Mixed with 24 Oras Weekend, the program’s Saturday and Sunday variant, it and 24 Oras garnered a combined GMA/GTV/IHM people net reach of 84 percent, equivalent to 65 million viewers in the Philippines.
Playing their important roles in upholding true journalism through the program are veteran and award-winning anchors Mel Tiangco, Emil Sumangil, and Vicky Morales.
24 Oras Weekend, meanwhile, sees Pia Arcangel and Ivan Mayrina taking the helm of the program during the weekend.
Along with the main anchors are also the show’s various hosts.
Chika Minutes’s Iya Villana-Arellano is known for delivering the latest and hottest discussions in entertainment.
Kuya Atienza’s #KuyaKimAnoNa gives the public awareness of certain phenomena and the tales behind their existence.
Along with the launch of the GMA Integrated News Weather Center for daily weather news and updates, GMA Integrated News also introduced its weather presenter Maureen Schrijvers.
Earlier this month, the news program also opened a new segment Game Changer, which brings GMA Synergy sportscaster Martin Javier to the center stage, delivering the latest discoveries and trends around lifestyle, fitness, technology, and anything that pushes for the dynamics of everyday living.
