They may not have the most interesting entry-level smartphones around, but Samsung has no plans to live this budget segment anytime soon. In fact, they released a new one, the Galaxy A02.
The Samsung Galaxy A02, which came out in Thailand, features a MediaTek MT6739W quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

There’s a 6.5-inch HD+ LCS screen, with a tiny waterdrop notch on the top for the 5-megapixel selfie camera. While on the back, the looks scream nothing but “affordable”. It has a dual rear camera setup; one of them has a macro lens. The fingerprint scanner is not on the back or sides because it doesn’t have one.
To compensate, the Galaxy A02 has a 5,000mAh battery, which charges via microUSB, of course. On the upside, it has Samsung’s clean OneUI 2.0 interface.

The Samsung Galaxy A02 has a price of THB2,999 (around Php4,800). It will be initially available in Thailand. No word yet if it will reach the Philippines and other countries.
