Samsung Philippines officially launches the Galaxy A36 5G, one of its most popular midrange phones in the market.
The new Samsung Galaxy A36 5G has a sleek, thin, and durable design. It’s only 7.4mm thin, has a vertically grouped camera layout, and has a sturdy Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ in front and back. The rear panel is available in Lavander, White, and Black colors. It also received an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
Going back to the cameras, we got a 50-megapixel main shooter that managed to have optical image stabilization and HDR. There’s also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 5-megapixel macro lens.
A 12-megapixel selfie camera is on the front, sitting on top of the premium 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a variable 120Hz refresh rate.
Powering the Galaxy A36 5G is an efficient 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 octa-core processor, with 8GB of RAM, and an option between 128GB and 256GB of UFS 2.2 non-expandable storage.
It runs on the latest Android 15-based One UI 7.0. The best part is, that it will receive 6 years of upgrades and security patches. Plus, it ships with a 45W charging for the 5,000mAh battery — the same speeds found on Samsung’s most expensive devices.
The Samsung Galaxy A36, together with the new Galaxy A56, will be available in physical stores on March 17 and online on the 24th. The 8GB/128GB retails for Php19,990 while the 8GB/256GB comes in at Php21,990.
