Samsung’s popular line of smartphones focused on power-users just got a refresh. After months of rumors and leaks, the South Korean tech giant launched not one, but two new Galaxy Note devices — the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.

Samsung is finally giving the Note fans two options. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus shares some key features, but differs in other areas for pricing flexibility.

The obvious difference between the two is their sizes. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus you’re getting a 6.8-inch QHD+ display, while the latter comes with a 6.3-inch panel with a lower FHD+ resolution.

Both of them uses a Dynamic AMOLED screen with HDR10+ support, just like what the Galaxy S10 has. It also has a punch-hole design that Samsung calls as the “Infinity-O”. The company said that putting the front camera on the middle will improve the angle of your selfies.

Since it has a bigger body, Samsung was able to put a 4,300mAh battery on the Plus model. While the standard Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a smaller 3,500mAh. Both models have reverse wireless charging support, while the Pro model is compatible with a 45W fast charger.

Another key difference between the two is their RAM/storage configurations. The Galaxy Note 10 is only available in 8GB/256GB, while the Galaxy Note 10 Plus comes with 12GB/256GB, and a pre-order-exclusive release that comes with 12GB/512GB configuration.

Other than that, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are pretty much identical.

Both models has a 12-megapixel primary camera with OIS, and f/1.5/2.4 aperture. There’s also the 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS and f/2.1. The Note 10 Plus owners get to have an extra DepthVision camera.

Samsung is also bringing the Live Focus feature on videos. Plus, its triple microphone setup and Audio Zoom lets you enhance the audio coming from the subject you’re zooming in.

The company is also launching its new Exynos 9825 processor on the Galaxy Note 10 line. With this processor, you can expect 10% stability in gaming and 15% better battery efficiency. The chipset also has a vapor chamber to keep it cooled down despite heavy usage.

Some people might find the lack of improvements in the hardware a bit disappointing. So to keep the Note 10 series interesting, Samsung is also bringing upgrades in the software and user-experience level.

For one, the signature S-Pen now has gesture support. You can swipe up, down, left, or right — like a magic wand — to enable commands.

The screen recorder and DeX are also getting major improvements on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.

While recording your screen, you can use the front camera in picture-in-picture mode. Perfect if you’re a game streamer or you’re making a smartphone tutorial.

You can also plug the smartphone directly to a PC or Mac and access Samsung DeX. This lets you use DeX right in your computer, and copy files directly.
