The most awaited flagship phone of 2012 has just landed last week. Samsung, arguably the biggest android phone producer in the world, finally revealed Samsung Galaxy SIII, their official entry to the flagship smartphone battle of the year with the likes of HTC One X and other quad-core bets of other mobile manufacturers.

The device most likely satisfied everyone with its tremendous features(which is where Samsung is known for) making it the smartphone to beat. The only complain of other people was the bad design which they call “ugly”. But for me, the phone looks fairly nice. This issue was not actually a disappointment but rather depends to a person’s personal preference. Well, this just goes to show that there isn’t anything perfect. It also arrived with the flipboard app which is exclusive for it for the meantime while the work is in progress for other devices.

Here are the Samsung Galaxy S III Specifications:

  • 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED affair with 1280 x 720 pixels
  • 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Dual camera: 8MP main rear camera and 1.9MP front-facing camera
  • HSPA+ 21Mbps, (4G LTE version in selected countries)
  • Samsung TouchWiz UI
  • 16GB or 32GB storage (a 64GB coming soon)(expandable via microSD)
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • GPS with GLONASS reception
  • Wi-F 802.11n Wi-Fi hotspot
  • NFC
  • Li-Ion 2,100mAh battery

No word yet of the official pricing from Samsung but according to some source, the Philippines will be the one of the first to get to taste the S3. The estimated time of arrival will be as soon as the end of May and my price guess is about P32,000-33,000. We will update you as soon as it is released so be sure to check back often.

  1. Yes I personally think the S3 is the smartphone of all smartphones. I’m using the S2 now, just can’t resist the awsome features of the S3. Think I’m gonna sell my S2 and get the S3.
