Samsung made a couple of bizarre decisions for their latest high-end tablet line-up. For starters, they have skipped the vanilla version, so we’re jumping to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Tab S10 Plus. Also, they went with a MediaTek chip this time around.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Tab S10 Plus are powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ octa-core processor, which is made of TSMC’s 3rd-gen 4nm processor and has a powerful Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.4GHz and has a MediaTek 790 NPU.
Samsung claims that, compared to the Galaxy Tab S9 series’ Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip from Qualcomm, this processor from MediaTek offers 18% faster CPU performance, 14% faster NPU, and 28% faster GPU.
You can get the Tab S10 Ultra with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, while the Tab S10+ can be had with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Both models also share the same quad speakers tuned by AKG, 13-megapixel main cameras, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide on the front for group selfies and presentations. For the Tab S10 Ultra, you’re getting an extra 12-megapixel selfie snapper with a standard lens for selfies.
Of course, the duo will have Galaxy AI features for features like enhanced Note-taking and Sketch to Image via the S Pen, which attaches magnetically to the back of the device.
Going with the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra also entitles you to a bigger 14.6-inch display, while the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus has a smaller 12.4-inch screen. Both models use the same Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.
A bigger display means a bigger battery. The Ultra has an 11,200mAh capacity, while the latter has 10,090mAh. Both models support 45W wired charging — the fastest you can get from a Samsung device.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra is now available in the Philippines for a price of Php92,990 for the 12GB/256GB model, Php99,990 for the 12GB/512GB, and Php116,990 for the 16GB/1TB. All have 5G connectivity.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will come in WiFi-only and 5G variants. The 12GB/512GB/5G model retails for Php83,990, the 12GB/256GB/5G comes in at Php76,990, while the 12GB/512GB/WiFi and 12GB/256GB/WiFi variants have a price of Php75,990 and Php68,990, respectively.
