The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 has been introduced. As a recurring theme for high-end Galaxy phones, it looks identical to its predecessor but do offer a couple of improvements for a more polished device.
For the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, we’re getting a wider aspect ratio of 22.1:9 (from 23.1:9) for the 6.3-inch cover display, making it more comfortable to use. Samsung also made the vapor chamber 1.6x larger for better thermal management.
Samsung also redesigned the hinge, made the device IP48 dust and water-resistant and, for some reason, used a smaller 4,400mAh battery. However, Samsung did claim that the improved efficiency will make it last longer.
The main display is a 7.6-inch foldable screen, which Samsung calls Infinity Flex. It is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and has a 20.9:18 aspect ratio.
Nothing much has changed with the cameras. It has a 50-megapixel main shooter with OIS, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the cover screen, and a 4-megapixel under-display camera on the main screen.
Of course, it will come with a bunch of Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search that works well with the included S-Pen. Plus, it will get 7 major OS upgrades.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 has a price of Php105,990 for the 256GB model, Php113,990 for the 512GB, and Php130,990 for the 1TB — all with 12GB of RAM. It is now available for pre-order alongside the Galaxy Z Flip6 and will be available starting July 31.
