Sharp has announced a new premium smartphone with a Snapdragon chipset and 5G connectivity.
The most expensive model among the bunch is the Sharp zero5G basic. Yes, it’s confusing because it has basic in the name, but that doesn’t mean that it’s a slouch. It’s equipped with a 6.4-inch OLED Full HD+ 120Hz refresh rate screen with a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
On the inside, it’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage. An 8GB+128GB will also be available soon. In terms of software, it’s running on Android 10 OS.
As for the cameras, it has a 48-megapixel f/1.8 primary shooter supported by a 13.1-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and 8-megapixel tele camera. For selfies, it uses a 16.3-megapixel sensor.
The Sharp zero5G basic is also IP68/IPX5 water and dust resistant. Its battery is a little small at 4,050mAh and there’s no mention of charging speed.
Price of the Sharp zero5G basic is yet to be revealed.
