If imitation is the best form of flattery, then the upstart Oppo should feel flattered. They pioneered the rotating camera that enables you to take very high resolution selfies and/or video calls.

While the merits of that gimmick is still up for debate, at least one manufacturer seems to have seen some potential on it. Today, SKK Mobile have announced the SKK Mobile X4, a 5″ phone with a rotatable 13MP camera.Looking at the specs they’ve shown so far, it seems to be a low- to mid-range phone.

SKK Mobile X4 Specs

  • 5.0″ qHD IPS display (960×540)
  • unspecified 1.3GHz Quad-core processor
  • 13MP rotatable camera with auto focus and flash
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB internal, expandable via microSD up to 64GB
  • 2500mAh battery
  • Dual SIM
  • WiFi, Bluetooth (unspecified version), GPS
  • Android 4.2.2 Jellybean
Oppo N1 look alike?

Unfortunately, aside from the unspecified specs, we also lack some essential info like pricing and availability. However, given SKK Mobile’s other products, specifically the recently announced cheapest octa-core smartphone in PH, I’m sure this would be priced competitively. For now, we can only speculate while we wait for SKK to give us more info.
