Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra

Sony takes the CES 2018 stage to unveil their new mid-range devices — the Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra.

To be a proper follow-up to their predecessors, the company made few but substantial changes with the Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra. Probably the most distinct revision is seen in the design.

For the first time in the recent years, Sony has removed the fingerprint scanner at the power button and relocated it to the back, which is just within reach of your index finger, just like what other manufacturers do on their devices.

This is also the first Xperia XA device to feature a fingerprint scanner.

Both devices will also sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset. The Xperia XA2 will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the Xperia XA2 Ultra will come with 4GB of RAM and a choice between 32GB and 64GB storage variants.

Going on further with their differences, the former will sport a 5.2-inch screen, while the latter is a 6-incher. Both have IPS panel with 1080p resolution. And quite interestingly, Sony hasn’t adopted yet the 18:9 aspect ratio trend that’s been happening for more than a year now.
