M Lhuillier, a pawnshop and remittance chain in the Philippines, taps Starmobile for a custom smartphone that will carry their brand. The M Lhuillier smartphone is meant for their employees and customers.
Starmobile didn’t create a completely new smartphone for this project. The Smart Prepaid SIM-powered M Lhuillier smartphone is basically a tailored Starmobile Play Five. This smartphone is one of the tech brand’s low-end smartphones, priced at only Php1,790 when it was launched late last year.
To match the M Lhuillier’s specifications, the Play Five will come with the M Lhuillier MLWallet app, pre-installed. The Starmobile’s logo at the back has been replaced with the pawnshop’s. Also, it looks like the device greets you with M Lhuillier’s own greeting.
