Instead of a big fanfare, TECNO decided to unveil the CAMON 30S Pro subtly, which is weird since it has a feature that’s a first on any TECNO device.
The TECNO CAMON 30S Pro is spotted at the company’s official website. It comes with 20W wireless charging, which is a first for a TECNO smartphone. It also has a magnetic charging case that attaches to a magnetic charging puck, a feature similar to the Infinix NOTE 40 5G, a phone from TECNO’s sister company.
If you want to charge the 5,000mAh battery faster, the device also ships with a 45W adapter. It also has three different charging modes for better efficiency and prolonged battery health: Smart Charge, Low Temp Charge, and Hyper Charge.
The CAMON 30S Pro is also one of the first to use the MediaTek Helio G100 processor. Not many details are available for this new chip, but TECNO did say that it’s made of a 6nm process and performs 7% better. Also, being from the Helio series, it lacks 5G connectivity but will have 4.5G with download speeds of up to 300Mbps.
For the cameras, we have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX896 1/1.56-inch sensor with an optical image stabilization. Sadly, it lacks an ultra-wide camera but still has a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
A sharp 50-megapixel camera is on the front with its own dual flash. Being a 2024 phone, it can do AI-generated photos based on your selfies. AI Eraser is also here.
For the display, we have a large 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The device is IP53 dust and splash-resistant and lets you operate the screen even if your finger or the display is wet.
Audio is provided by the stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Plus, there’s a Smart Breathing Light next to the cameras similar to the CAMON 30 5G, which lights up when you’re taking pictures, recording videos, and charging.
The official price and availability details for the TECNO CAMON 30S Pro are yet to be known, so stay tuned for that.
