TECNO Mobile has unveiled a new entry-level smartphone that has quite a number of flares to make it interesting. Check out the new TECNO Pop 8.
The TECNO Pop 8 has a decent 6.6-inch HD+ LCD display with a high 90Hz refresh rate. There’s a punch-hole on top for the selfie camera and one trick up its sleeves: Dynamic Port — which is obviously inspired by the iPhones’ Dynamic Island — that shows a unique animation when you receive notifications, show charging status, and calls.
One the back, we also have an iPhone-inspired camera layout for the 13-megapixel main shooter and an unknown AI shooter.
Under the hood, you get a humble UNISOC T606 octa-core processor, paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. It ships with Android 13 Go Edition to match the underpowered hardware.
Keeping the lights on is a large 5,000mAh battery, albeit charging times might be slow due to the 10W adapter.
To make things extra interesting, the Pop 8 comes in four different colors: Alpenglow Gold, Magic Skin, Mystery White, and Gravity Black.
The TECNO Pop 8 has a price of INR6,999 (around Php4,800) and will be initially available in India. TECNO Mobile Philippines is yet to announce if it’s ever coming to the country.
