The TECNO POVA 6 Neo just received a new 5G model and it looks unrecognizable from the 4G variant that we’ve already seen long ago.
Powering the TECNO POVA 6 Neo 5G is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G octa-core processor made of a 6nm process. It will feature virtual RAM expansion as with most budget phones today. Plus, TECNO claims that it provides “5 years of lag-free experience.”
The design on the back is a clear departure from the aggressive, mecha look of its 4G-only brother. Instead, we have a cleaner and more elegant design with the subtle hues of the Midnight Shadow colorway, and the marble-like accents of the Azure Sky and Aurora Cloud.
That funky camera island on the top left holds the 108-megapixel main camera and an obligatory AI lens.
TECNO also highlights the device’s AI Suite for photography — features we’ve already seen in many Android phones lately. There’s the AIGC Portrait that can transform your photos into cartoons, AI Precise Cutout, and AI Magic Eraser to remove people and objects from your photos.
It also has an AI Artboard that lets you doodle and let AI create a scene out of it. You can also design your own wallpapers by describing your vision using texts. AI Text Generator is also here.
Moving on, we have a 6.67-inch HD+ display on the front, with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera on top. Stereo speakers provide audio with support for Dolby Atmos.
An 18W adapter handled charging for the 5,000mAh battery. All-directional NFC is here for convenience and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The TECNO POVA 6 Neo 5G 6GB/128GB variant retails for INR11,999 (~Php8,000) while the 8GB/256GB is at INR12,999 (~Php8,700). They are now available in India, with international release details yet to be known.
