Now that the PlayStation 5 Pro is out, Sony is set to sell official refurbished units of the existing, non-Pro PS5 models, in case you’re looking for a much cheaper alternative.
PlayStation Direct, the Sony online storefront for PlayStation products, has already announced that they will soon offer Certified Refurbished PS5 Digital Edition, which will cost USD349.99 (~Php19,600) — that’s half the price of the new PS5 Pro, which retails for USD699.99 (~Php39,300).

Meanwhile, the refurbished standard PS5 with a disk drive will retail for USD399.99 (~Php22,500).
The store front will also offer Certified Refurbished DualSense Controllers for USD59.99 (~Php3,400) for the black and white colors, and USD64.99 (~Php3,600) for the purple, pink, and gray camouflage.

For those who are unfamiliar, being refurbished means these units are used but, as per Sony, have been extensively cleaned, tested, and “ready for a brand-new home.”
What makes it even better than used units you can get at online marketplaces is that it will come with a one-year limited warranty from Sony. The company also highlights that you’d be saving up to USD100 when buying a refurbished console and up to USD10 when buying a refurbished controller.
