Vivo launches two new high-end phones in China, the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro.
First, let’s talk about the Vivo S15 Pro, which comes with a powerful Dimensity 8100 processor. Vivo boasts its “gaming-grade” cooling system that can apparently drop the temperature by 1.2-degrees. The device also boasts Vivo’s Gaming Graphics Core Pro to aid the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU to deliver better frame rates.
On the front, we have a has 120Hz refresh rate screen with up to 1,000Hz touch sampling for better responsiveness in games. But besides the speed, the display quality should also be good as it uses Samsung’s E5 technology. It’s a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ pixel resolution, 1,500 nits peak brightness, and support for HDR10+.
For audio, the S15 Pro comes with a stereo speaker setup. An X-axis linear motor handles haptic feedback.
Vivo also rigged the device with tons of antennas for a 360-degree coverage for better reception that should result in lag-free gaming.
The back houses a custom 50-megapixel IMX766V Sony sensor with optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, macro lens, and of course, a depth sensor.
Keeping the lights on is a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging that can provide a full charge in only around 35 minutes.
The Vivo S15 Pro retails for CNY3,399 (around Php26,500) for the 8GB/256GB model while the 12GB/256GB variant is at CNY3,699 (around Php28,900).
