Vivo just unveiled the new T2x, their first smartphone to use the new MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor.
Just days after the T1x made its debut in the Philippines, the Vivo T2x was announced in China carrying the said processor. It is quite an impressive chip boasting a 3.0GHz clock speed with Mali-G77 graphics.
The powerful CPU is paired with an ultra-fast 144Hz 6.58-inch IPS screen. It also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate to ensure that the screen is responsive, especially during intense gaming.
Vivo kept the traditional waterdrop notch for the 16-megapixel front camera. While on the back, we have two large lenses for the 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megaipxel macro lens. Sadly, it didn’t get to have an ultra-wide shooter.
Keeping the lights on is a surprisingly generous 6,000mAh battery. A 44W fast-charging adapter was included to juice it up.
It then ships with the latest Android 12 operating system. But since it is first coming to China, it comes with OriginOS 2.0 UI on top. It should get a FuntouchOS version when it arrives on the global stage.
The Vivo T2x comes in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations for a price of CNY1,599 (around Php12,600) and CNY1,799 (around Php14,100), respectively. They will be available in China starting June 6 and is now up for pre-order. Release details in other markets are yet to be announced.
