Vivo has introduced a follow-up to its popular midrange line with the Vivo V23 and V23 Pro.
The new Vivo V23 and V23 Pro use a material that the company calls Flourite AG glass, which looks identical to the matte glass finish we’ve already seen before. Both models come in Stardust Black and a special Sunshine Gold variant that can change color when subjected to sunlight for about five minutes.
For a premium feel, the Pro variant has a thinner frame and curved glass in front and back. This thing comes with a 6.56-inch AMOLED screen that refreshes at 90Hz. Plus, a relatively small 4,300mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
The V23 has an identical screen, albeit smaller at 6.44-inches. The battery was shrunken, too, at 4,200mAh capacity. Still, it has a 90Hz AMOLED panel and 44W fast charging.
Under the hood, the Pro variant has a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, which you can get with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the other hand, the vanilla variant uses a Dimensity 920 chip, but still managed to get a 12GB/256GB top-tier variant.
The cameras on the two are almost the same, they even have an ultra-sharp 50-megapixel selfie and 8-megapixel ultra-wide front cameras with two front LED flashes on each side. The only key difference is the main cameras on the back. The Pro variant gets to have a 108-megapixel main shooter, while the vanilla settles for a 64-megapixel sensor.
Sales will start in India this January 13. The Vivo V23 has a price of INR29,990 (around Php20,600) for the 8GB/128GB and INR34,990 (around Php24,000) for the 12GB/256GB variant.
On the other hand, the V23 Pro comes in at INR38,990 (around Php26,700) and INR43,990 (around Php30,200) for the 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB, respectively.
