vivo just unveiled the V27 series. There are three of them: there’s the V27e, which is a cheaper alternative, and the two we’re taking a look at today, the V27 and V27 Pro.
The vivo V27 and V27 Pro are essentially the same but only differ in one key area: the processors. The more expensive model boasts a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 CPU, while the vanilla uses a Dimensity 7200 CPU.
Other than that, everything else is the same. The duo has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ pixel resolution.
They also have the same 4,600mAh batteries — not the biggest but made the device thin and light. Charging is done using the 66W adapter.
Like its cousins, the main highlight of the V27 series is the cameras. In fact, it even has what vivo calls an Aura Light Portrait System, which was made possible by the ring light on the back.
As for the cameras themselves, it uses a 50-megapixel IMX766V sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and the obligatory 2-megapixel macro lens.
We also have a packed 50-megapixel camera on the front with autofocus. The camera system has tons of software features like Super Night Video, Real-Time Extreme Night Vision, and Hybrid Image Stabilization.
Finally, the device ships with Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13, dual-mode 5G, the new Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and a new Magic Blue color that changes hues when hit by sunlight.
The vivo V27 Pro is available in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB variants with a starting price of USD459 (~Php26,920), while the V27 comes in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB flavors starting at USD399 (~Php23,400). Release details in the Philippines are yet to be known.
