Another vivo V40 model has been introduced abroad. This time, it’s in Indonesia, and it’s the 4G and 5G models of the new vivo V40 Lite.
The vivo V40 Lite and V40 Lite 5G are essentially the same, apart from one obvious difference: the chipset. The 4G-only model is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor with only 8GB of RAM, while the 5G variant uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip with up to 12GB of RAM.
Other than that, everything else is the same. Both models have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. A cutout on top holds the 32-megapixel selfie camera.
On the back, we have a 50-megapixel main camera that uses a Sony IMX882 sensor, joined by a 2-megapixel depth sensor and vivo’s signature Aura Light flash. Sadly, it lacks an ultra-wide lens that the vivo V40e and the rest of the series have.
But like the rest of the series, it has a speedy 80W charger for the 5,000mAh battery.
vivo also spent time designing the V40 Lite properly. It has a slightly different camera island that’s thinner and looks cleaner. However, the curved screen and rear panel of the more expensive models have been flattened out.
The vivo V40 Lite 4G has a price of IDR3,299,000 (~Php12,100) and IDR3,599,000 (~Php13,200) for the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models, respectively. Meanwhile, the vivo V40 Lite 5G comes in at IDR4,299,000 (~Php15,800) for the 8GB/256GB model.
