vivo Philippines just launched a new stylish entry-level smartphone priced under Php6,000. Meet the vivo Y02.
The vivo Y02 is a toned-down version of the Y02s, but does come with a sleeker and more appealing 2.5D design with a distinct circular glass on the back for the single 8-megapixel camera and the LED flash. It comes in two colors: Cosmic Grey and a more eye-catching Orchid Blue.
On the front, we have the usual 6.51-inch IPS display with a 1600 x 720-pixel resolution. Audio is provided by the single loudspeaker and 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. Also here is the microUSB port, which is quite disappointing in an era of USB-Cs.
Speaking of the microUSB port, it comes with a 10W adapter for the 5,000mAh battery. It also has 5W reverse charging capability so you can use the smartphone as a power bank to charge other devices and accessories.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
Definitely not the fastest, but it ships with Android 12 Go Edition for better efficiency, with vivo’s Funtouch OS 12 still on top.
The vivo Y02 has a price of Php5,299 in the Philippines and will be available come December 15 on vivo’s official website, Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok store with a special discount.
