Xiaomi unveiled two new midrange phones in India: the Xiaomi 11i and 11i HyperCharge. Two are essentially the same, albeit the latter has one distinct lead over the former.
Xiaomi is marketing the Xiaomi 11i SuperCharge as “India’s fastest charging smartphone”. This one boasts an ultra-fast 120W wired fast charging, while the vanilla Xiaomi 11i settles for a still impressive 67W charging.
Other than charging, and the fact that the standard 11i has a larger 5,160mAh battery versus the HyperCharge’s 4,500mAh, everything else is the same.
The duo uses the same MediaTek Dimensity 920 octa-core processor, an option between 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and a sole 128GB storage variant.
On the front, we have a fast and vibrant 6.67-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a punch-hole on top of it for the selfie camera.
Around the back, the 11i series sports a pixel-packed 108-megapixel main camera, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel tele/macro lens.
The Xiaomi 11i has a price of INR24,999 (around Php17,200) and INR26,999 (around Php18,600) for the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, respectively. The Xiaomi 11i SuperCharge is not drastically more expensive. It’s available in the same RAM and storage options for INR26,999 (around Php18,600) and INR28,999 (around Php19,900), respectively. They will be available in India starting January 12. The official price and release date in the Philippines is yet to be known.
