Before 2022 ends, Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship line that will carry them into the new year. Here we have the new Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, which feature the latest and most powerful mobile chipset and significant camera improvements.
The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors. They also boast 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Other significant improvements are the Leica cameras. The Pro model boasts three 50-megapixel shooters on the back. The main one uses a large 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, similar to what the 12S Ultra has, but this time, it has a Leica lens and Hyper OIS technology.
It is joined by a telephoto camera that can do 3x zoom with Leica’s Floating Lens technology. Lastly, there’s an ultra-wide lens that doubles as a macro shooter.
As for the vanilla model, we have a similar 50-megapixel sensor with Hyper OIS, joined by a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide.
On the front, the Xiaomi 13 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with tons of bells and whistles: 120Hz variable refresh rate, 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution, 1920Hz DC dimming, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. It also has a dedicated ambient light temperature sensor. Plus, a whopping 1,900-nits peak brightness on HDR.
The standard Xiaomi 13 has similar tech but is now 6.36 inches, which is bigger than its predecessor. But unlike the pro, this one has a lower but still respectable 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution.
For the batteries, they have 4,820mAh and 4,500mAh capacities, respectively. The former has a faster 120W wired charging support while the latter only has 67W. The Pro model also has Xiaomi‘s Surge G1 chip to safely achieve such charging speeds.
The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are now up for pre-order in China and will be available on December 17. The Pro model is available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/512GB for a price of CNY4,999 (around Php39,800) and CNY6,299 (around Php50,100), respectively.
Meanwhile, the vanilla model comes in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB variants for a price of CNY3,999 (around Php31,800), CNY4,299 (around Php34,200), CNY4,599 (around Php36,600), and CNY4,999 (around Php39,800), respectively. Release details in the Philippines are yet to be known.
