The Xiaomi 17T series is official and has been launched immediately in the Philippines.
There’s the Xiaomi 17T Pro, and the one we’ll focus on today, the Xiaomi 17T. Like its bigger brother, it boasts a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, which is the highlight of the whole series dubbed as the “Telephoto Master”.
It also shares the same 12-megapixel ultra-wide and 32-megapixel selfie camera as the Pro. However, the main camera uses a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 sensor, instead of the Pro’s Light Fusion 950.
The main reason you’d go for the 17T instead of the 17T Pro, aside from the price, is the size. It has a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel, while the former has a 6.83-inch screen. However, it also has a slower 120Hz refresh rate (vs 144Hz).
A smaller screen also meant a smaller 6,500mAh battery (vs 7,000mAh). Charging speeds were also dropped to 67W for wired (vs 100W), and with wireless charging removed.
What’s more, it now only has a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, while the Pro enjoys a more powerful Dimensity 9500 chip.
The Xiaomi 17T 12GB/256GB has an SRP of Php33,999 in the Philippines, while the 12GB/512GB retails for Php37,999. Pre-order online and offline until June 18 to get a free Redmi Watch 6, VIP Card/After-sales package, and a Php2,000 discount.
