Xiaomi’s gaming phone line just got a refresh for 2020. Meet the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro.
Just like their predecessors, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro will boast powerful hardware and aggressive gamer design. It has a triple camera setup inside a triangular camera bump.

They will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors — currently the best chipset from Qualcomm.
It comes with a dual heatsink system for better thermals even after extensive gaming. You can get them with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

To fully maximize the processor’s potential, both devices will have a fast 90Hz refresh rate screen. It will make everything feel smoother and faster — from browsing the interface to playing intensive games.
Both screens are also HDR10+ certified with DC dimming. Plus, a MEMC 2.0 dedicated chip for better display colors. The main difference is the size and resolution. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ screen, while the Pro model has a bigger and sharper 7.1-inch QHD+ screen.

Since it has a larger body, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro will have a 5,000mAh battery that’s slightly bigger than the 4,720mAh on the latter. The best part is, they will have an ultra-fast 65W charging support, just like the Mi 10 Pro.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 series will have Android 10, with Joy UI 11 interface that has a more gamer appearance and optimizations.

For the complete gaming experience, Xiaomi included two physical trigger buttons on each side of the device (only the Pro model). It should provide a more tactile experience than the touch-sensitive panels that its predecessors had.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a starting price of CNY3,499 (~Php25,500) for the 8GB/128GB variant, CNY3,799 (~Php27,700) for the 12GB/128GB, and CNY3,999 (~Php29,100) for the 12GB/256GB model.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro is priced at CNY4,699 (~Php34,300) for the 8GB/256GB while the 12GB/256GB variant will be at CNY4,999 (~Php36,400).
