The Xiaomi Pad 7 and 7 Pro are now out as the brand’s flagship tablets with sub-flagship processors.
It’s hard to tell the difference between the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro from the exterior. They are about the same size as they share the same 11.2-inch IPS display with a 3200 x 2136 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 3:2 aspect ratio.
Boot them up and play with them for a while and you can tell that the Pro is faster than the other. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the latter settles for a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor.
The Pad 7 also has a slower 45W charger, while the Pro has a faster 67W adapter. They also differ in the cameras as the Pad 7 Pro enjoys a sharper 50-megapixel main camera and 32-megapixel for selfies, while the other has 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel shooters, respectively.
On the upside, the duo has the same 8,850mAh batteries, which should be decent for the price, but could be larger. Both devices are also available in Soft Light Edition which uses AG nano texture technology and AR optical coating to reduce light reflections.
They will also ship with the latest Android 15-based HyperOS 2, just like the also-new Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro are now listed in China with the prices below. Release details in the Philippines and other markets are yet to be known.
