Xiaomi has introduced its most powerful phone to date, the Xiaomi 15 Pro powered by the best chip from Qualcomm, has an extra large battery, a better display, and of course, much better cameras.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which has the new Oryon CPU consisting of two prime cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six 3.53GHz performance cores. It provides 45% faster CPU performance and 44% better efficiency than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the new Adreno GPU has been 40% improved.
It then has a 6.73-inch LTPO OLED display, with thinner bezels than its predecessor, and has a micro-curved design. What’s more, this panel uses an M9 luminous material, which has a sharp 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution, 1-120Hz refresh rate, and a high 3,200 nits of peak brightness.
Xiaomi also slapped it with a Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 that offers scratch resistance.
It then has a large 6,100mAh battery — one of the biggest capacities you can get from a flagship phone, made possible by silicon-carbon technology. It is paired with a speedy 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The device ships with the latest Android 15 operating system with 2nd-gen HyperOS on top.
Now, onto the cameras. It is headlined by the 50-megapixel main shooter that uses an OmniVision Light Fusion 900 sensor, the same as the Xiaomi 14. It is a 1/1.31-inch sensor with a 23mm lens equivalent.
Xiaomi did upgrade the 5x telephoto lens, which now uses a 50-megapixel IMX858 sensor. It is joined by another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro will be available in China starting October 31. The 12GB/256GB variant retails for CNY5,299 (~Php43,300), the 16GB/512GB is at CNY5,799 (~Php47,400), while the 16GB/1TB comes in at CNY6,499 (~Php53,100). International release details are yet to be announced.
