Citing demand for sustainable printers, Epson has announced the two new energy-efficient printers with a compact design: the Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-C400 and AM-C550.

These two printers offer print speeds of 40 and 55 pages per minute, respectively, in both regular and duplex printing mode. They utilize a C-shaped paper route path for efficient, high-speed printing. Their space-saving design has relatively smaller footprint, with both printers measuring 465x517x570mm, which Epson claims is ideal for small offices and busy work environments. As A4 printers, these two are basically the smaller counterparts of the A3 models AM-C4000 and AM-C5000 that were released last year.

The printers employ Epson’s heat-free printing technology that uses a unique approach for the ink ejection process while guaranteeing a quick first print-out time. Epson claims this technology leads to up to 85 percent less power consumption compared to laser printers. These printers also reduce running costs as they have fewer replacement parts and consumables.

As all-in-one printers, the AM-C400 and AM-C550 can also scan, copy documents, and send faxes. Their scanner features a contact image sensor capable of double-sided scanning, an optical resolution of 600×600 DPI, scan-to-email integration, and support for multiple file formats including JPEG, TIFF, and PDF. Network connectivity is also supported.

Adding further capabilities to these printers is the Epson Solutions Suite, which offers print management and document management solutions. The software suite comes with device administration software for monitoring and configuring a fleet of printers.

The Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-C400 is now available in the Philippines for Php205,850. Meanwhile, the Epson AM-C550 costs Php274,300.
