Mozilla, a long-time leader in the web browser field, gave a hint on their announcement of something ‘big’ for android next week through their official tweeter account (@Firefox). The company endured a heavy loss of users in the past couple of months because of its most dreadful competition, Google Chrome. Now, Mozilla makes a step on Google’s android platform.

Firefox-for-Android

In the tweet tease last friday, Mozilla said that there will be something “Fast. Smart. Safe.” in relation to the update that will happen to mozilla for android. As to what rumors say, the chrome for android may be the main browser for the upcoming Android 5.0 Jelly Bean.

We have seen a lot of updates over the last few months but this time it really seem like there is something interesting to look at. I’m sure a lot of firefox fans eagerly waits for the news. I hope that the new version will support flash and plug-ins (like that of the Dolphin Browser) to make a stand against other android browsers. In the meantime, you can get the current version of Firefox for android here.
