A new Pokemon Snap title is reportedly in the works for the Switch and it’s literally called “New Pokemon Snap,” according to the announcement made by both Nintendo and The Pokemon Company.
The game makes for the long-awaited sequel to the original Pokemon Snap, which was released way back in the Nintendo 64.
Coinciding with the announcement is a brief video showing tidbits of what to expect in the developing title.
The New Pokemon Snap will remain true to the original game’s gameplay design which, at its core, is all about snapping images of various Pokemon.
The premise of the game being to fill a certain photobook—or rather Pokedex—using the image of each unique Pokemon akin to the franchise motto of “gotta catch ‘em all.”
Other exciting gameplay elements such as being able to ride special vehicles and feed Pokemon are returning to the game as well.
