Honor’s true-wireless earphones, the Honor FlyPods Lite, is now in the Philippines.
The launch was made alongside the local debut of the Honor 9X and Honor 20 Lite in the Philippines. The Honor FlyPods Lite features an in-ear design housed in a pill-shaped charging case. It resembles the design of the Huawei FreeBuds Lite from a couple of months back.
It has touch-sensitive controls that let you summon your smartphone’s voice assistant and answer/end calls by double-tapping the left and right buds, respectively.
Unlike the new FreeBuds 3, this one has an ‘Environmental’ Noise Cancellation instead of an Active one. Not sure if the name was changed for marketing purposes, or they act exactly the same. It has two microphones on each bud for the noise canceling and making calls.
The Honor FlyPods Lite is also IP54-rated water and sweat resistant if you’re planning on working out with it.
As for the battery, each bud can carry 3-hours worth of juice, while the charging case adds 12 hours to the overall battery life. Meanwhile, a quick 15-minute charge can already provide 90 minutes of listening time.
The Bluetooth 4.2 might not provide the most seamless connectivity compared to the newer Bluetooth 5.0 standard, but it sure is acceptable for the price.
Speaking of which, the Honor FlyPods Lite has an official price of Php2,990 in the Philippines. Making it one of the most affordable TWS earphones in the local market. You can get it in Black or White.
