Marshall expands its true wireless (TWS) earphones line up with the introduction of the Motif ANC and Minor III.
The new Marshall Motif ANC is the company’s first Active Noise Cancelling earphones. Like the AirPods Pro and other ANC earphones, it uses microphones to analyze the noise around you and play an apt white noise to block them out.
Marshall also promised that it brought its signature sound to these in-ear headphones, which is also said to have a sealed fit.
It comes with three ear-tip sizes to match your ear. Plus, IPX5 water resistance for the buds and IPX4 for the case.
The buds and the wireless charging case it comes with have the signature Marshall design with leather-like accents.
Each bud can hold 4.5 hours of battery with ANC enabled, with a total of 20 hours of playtime together with the case.
The buds also come with touch-sensitive panels for controls. It lets you adjust the music, calls and has dual microphones for making calls.
The Marshall Motif ANC has a price of USD219 (around Php10,900).
If you want something cheaper and more basic, there’s the Marshall Minor III. ANC is now gone, and it has a more AirPods-like design, which is great for those who despise in-ear tips.
The best part is that it has bigger 12mm drivers (vs 6mm of the Motif), which offers loud and crisp sound.
It also has the classic Marshall design, touch controls, Bluetooth 5.2, and a total of 25 hours of playtime with each bud carrying 5 hours of battery.
Marshall also kept the wireless charging support. Alternatively, you can use the Type-C port for wired charging.
Each bud is IPX4 water-resistant, but no water protection for the case.
Since it doesn’t require extensive configuration like the Motif ANC, it works outside the box without the help of the Marshall Bluetooth App.
The Marshall Minor III retails for USD139 (around Php6,900. Their release details in the Philippines are yet to be known.
