Apple just released a more advanced version of its popular accessory with the new Apple AirPods Pro.

One of the main issues that people had with the AirPods was its poor noise isolation and bass frequency. Now, that’s been addressed with the new Apple AirPods Pro.

This one now has an in-ear design with Active Noise Cancellation. It then comes with three different sizes of ear tips so it fits nicely in your ears. It also assures for a secured fit, so it won’t fall off your ears easily — one of the main problems with the AirPods.

Just like most ANC technologies, the AirPods Pro has an outward-facing microphone that detects noise in your surroundings, and inward-facing microphone that also listens inside your ears for better noise cancellation. We’ve seen the same technology on the OPPO Enco Q1.

To enable ANC, you have to press and hold the new force sensor on the earbud’s stem. Switch it off to enable Transparency Mode, so you can hear everything around you.

You’d be also using this sensor to control music, answer/reject calls and others.

The device also has Adaptive EQ that automatically adjusts the equalizer depending on the shape of your ear. Pretty clever.

Of course, it’s rigged with the latest Apple H1 chip, just like what the original AirPods and PowerBeats Pro have, so it can seamlessly pair with your Apple devices.

The Apple AirPots Pro are also sweat and water-resistant so you can use it outdoors. Plus, a mesh microphone that blocks wind noise.

As for the battery, the wireless charging case (Qi compatible) can provide up to 24hrs of battery life. While each bud can carry 4.5hrs of listening time, and a quick 5-minute charge can provide around 1hr of music.

The Apple AirPods Pro has a retail price of Php14,990 in the Philippines. However, the availability date is yet to be announced.
