Apple acquired Beats a few years ago to improve its audio hardware division. And under this brand, the company is releasing the new Beats Powerbeats Pro.

This latest hardware has key similarities over the newly announced AirPods 2. The Beats Powerbeats Pro is a new, completely cordless earphones that sport Apple’s H1 chip for seamless integration with all your iOS and macOS devices.

The Powerbeats Pro is basically an amped-up version of the AirPods. It features an in-ear design for improved low-end/bass signature and noise-isolation — making it a good competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Buds. It also has integrated ear hooks and water/sweat resistance, making it a perfect companion for working out.

Just like the AirPods, it will also come with a sleek charging case, which automatically recharges both earphones when not in use. Each earbud can last for 9-hours of music playback, and a total of 24-hours with the power provided by the case. It charges via Apple’s Lightning cable.

The Powerbeats Pro also has built-in “Hey Siri’ support, full volume and track controls, and a proximity sensor that can auto play/pause a track every time you take them out of your ears.

As per Apple’s local website, the Beats Powerbeats Pro will have a price in the Philippines of Php13,490 and will be available in matte paint jobs (Ivory, Black, Navy, and Moss). Their official availability is yet to be announced.
