Nothing, the tech company by OnePlus founder and former CEO Carl Pei, just launched its first TWS earphones in the Philippines, the aptly named Ear 1.
The company is proud of its unique and edgy design and branding, and the Nothing Ear 1 shows that. This one, as Nothing calls it, has a “Gutsy” look that comes in white and black with transparent veneers to showcase the tech within.

Like a lot of modern earphones, the Ear 1 has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with two modes that you can easily switch from. There’s the Light mode for moderate noise cancellation and Maximum mode when you’re commuting or in places with higher noise levels.
The sound is then provided by a large 11.6mm dynamic driver, which is said can provide “advanced” treble, bass, and mid performance.

For calls, the Ear 1 has Clear Voice Technology to ensure it picks up your voice loud and clear. It then pairs to your phone via the latest Bluetooth 5.2 standard for better reliability and battery efficiency.
Speaking of battery, the Ear 1 can last for 5 hours at a time with a total of 34 hours with the charging case. It has fast and wireless charging capabilities.

It is also relatively light at 4.7g for each earbud and comes with an IPX4 rating for being sweat and splash resistant so you can easily use it for workouts.
The Nothing ear 1 has an SRP of Php5,990 with a pre-order price of Php4,990 from June 10 at 10 AM up to June 22 at 9 PM. You can get it at Digital Walker stores across the Philippines and via its official website.
