OnePlus held an event in China and introduced a couple of new devices. One of them is the new Buds Pro 2 Lite.

The new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Lite is essentially the same as the non-Lite Buds Pro 2. Both models share the same designs with IP55 splash resistance. It also comes in Black, albeit the Green was replaced with White.

Of course, it also comes with active noise cancellation that can eliminate up to 48dB of outside noise. This was made possible by the triple microphone setup, which is also made for voice pick-up during calls.

For audio, it has support for Hi-Res audio wireless with audio-tuning by Dynaudio and legendary movie music scorer Hans Zimmer.

For better audio sync, it has a 54ms low-latency mode that’s great for playing games and watching shows or movies.

Each bud can carry 9 hours of playtime at a time with a total of 39 hours with the charging case. Connectivity is handled by the LHDC 5.0.

So, what’s really different here? Well, to make it cheaper, the Lite version lacks Qi wireless charging support and head tracking. On the upside, Spatial audio is still supported.

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Lite will be available starting March 13 in China and has a price of CNY749 (~Php5,900). For comparison, the Buds Pro 2 comes in at CNY899 (~Php7,100).
