Kia went to the LA Auto Show in Los Angeles, California, and showcased two new concept electric vehicles: the EV3 and EV4.
The new Kia Concept EV3 and EV4 represent that brand’s new “Opposites Unite” design philosophy that highlights a lot of geometric shapes, interior vibes, and of course, the use of sustainable materials.

For the Concept EV3, Kia says that it offers the practicality, design, and tech of the EV9, its flagship SUV. Hence, it has similar geometric patterns, and octagonal wheel wells that really provide a statement and match the taillights and side skirts.

The windshield was pushed forward for extra interior space. Speaking of which, the inside looks extra fancy with almost no buttons and a noticeably large horizontal screen for the digital cluster and infotainment. The whole dash is a mix of fiber-weave materials and eco-friendly plastic.

Meanwhile, the Concept EV4 maintains geometric shapes but with a sportier design. It features a wider stance, a low nose, and two small extensions on each side of the roof that the company calls a “technical roof spoiler.”
The interior is mainly the same, but this time, it has an HVAC user interface that incorporates a control panel, which can be easily stored in the center console when not being used.

Kia also used handwoven fabrics in the storage area, as well as in the dashboard for a 3D effect.
Other than the design, the carmaker didn’t divulge the vehicles’ battery range, power, and other technical features. As per Kia, the demo is primarily for testing how “America’s savviest EV consumers” will react to “two potential opportunities within the Kia lineup.”
