To help in the current COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines, Angkas has setup an alternative for their riders to make a living during the community quarantine period.
Dubbed as Angkas Food, this service works similarly to the likes of Food Panda and Grab Food, where customers order food from restaurants and through riders.
A lot of people are currently depending on food delivery services so they can eat everyday. Despite the limits placed to prevent hoarding, stocks have been quickly depleted by people who are panic buying. Other Filipinos who weren’t able to shop were left with no options but to find alternatives.

Angkas says that the initiative is purely for the benefit of its riders and they won’t take any commission out of every transaction. Delivery fee is 100% for the riders.
To order, the customer must call the participating restaurants and inform them about the order. Cash-on delivery is available, but the company encourages online payment so that the transaction is more seamless. The rider will then pick up and delivery the food straight to your doorstep. As part of the social distancing measure, no-touch interaction will also be implemented.
Restaurants include Crazy Bagnet in Cubao and Katipunan, Mama V in Manila, Sisig King, Bulalo World and a lot more. Operating hours will only be from 10AM-5:30PM. For the complete list of partner restaurants, check out the list here.
