Amid concerns over the safety and security of critical infrastructures, the NOW Group is offering cybersecurity solutions aimed at safeguarding such assets of big and small enterprises alike.

Per NOW Telecom President Rene Rosales, there is a risk that comes with “deploying untrusted hardware and software including sensors and devices without rigorous vetting”. That is, highlighting how such measures pave the way for “unauthorized surveillance on both sensitive enterprise data and individuals.”

Rosales described such a move as counterproductive in that it does harm rather than benefit, stating how it turns a “protective measure into an unintended self-inflicted breach.”

In light of the recent breaches that affected the country’s national agencies, Rosales emphasizes the need to act on the matter “immediately.”

With the APAC region regarded as the new “ground zero” for cybercrime, NOW illustrates the description with the number of attacks that both enterprises and organizations have suffered weekly since 2023 started. Specifically, 1,835 per week beginning from Q1 2023, which is higher than the global average of 1,248 attacks.

In response to this dilemma, the cybersecurity company is offering the “Respond and Replace” program, which urgently calls for the attention of enterprises and governments with factories and officers residing in the Indo-Pacific region.

Built within an ecosystem of trusted global technology partners and run by the Trusted Network initiative, the program employs cloud-based enterprise endpoint devices, handheld devices, sensors, and video security systems.

Included in the Trusted Network are 60 nations and around 180 telecom companies that form a solid consolidation in securing data privacy and national security.
