Filipino fans of professional basketball will no longer fall short of satisfying their passion for the sport. This comes as subsidiary Setanta Sports Philippines, in addition to the National Basketball Association (NBA), announced a multi-year partnership that will bring year-round content of immersive basketball experience to the mainstream.
The agreement follows Setanta Ukraine and Eurasian Broadcasting Enterprise’s multi-year partnership aimed at providing the audience with NBA content via the Setanta Sports’ streaming channel and pay TV channel across certain countries in Asia and Europe.
Starting October 25, Wednesday, basketball fans will be audience to live NBA games, coinciding with the 2023-24 NBA season.
Apart from the intense actions of the court, paying subscribers will also be served with live and on-demand access to original programming, such as NBA’s wraparound content series “NBA 360”. Said program features behind-the-scenes events for players, coaches, etc., as well as exclusive interviews.

Making the program accessible to a wide viewers in the Philippines, Setanta Sports and the app can be accessed by simply registering to the platform and downloading the application on their smartphones, tablets, or smart TVs.
Furthermore, the new multi-year agreement enables subscribers an option to purchase the NBA Playoffs package on NBA League Pass, essentially the league’s premium live game subscription service on the NBA App.
Fans eager to purchase the NBA Playoffs package will have to wait for the announcement of the pricing.
Corroborating Filipinos’ passion for basketball is NBA Asia Head of Content Partnerships and Direct-to-consumer Kelly Cooke who underscored the Filipino fans’ “incredible appetite for NBA content.”
Aside from basketball, Setanta Sports’ portfolio of sports also includes international soccer.
