Realme has finally entered the Philippine market and they brought their cheapest smartphone to date.
The company is starting off with the Realme C1, which is just fitting considering that this is the most affordable smartphone that the company currently have on the lineup.
With its really economical price tag, the C1 is expected to make some waves in the local tech scene, something that an emerging brand like Realme would really want since that they really want to make an impression for their name to be known.
But as we all know, the Philippines is one of the biggest low-end smartphone markets in the world, which is why there are obviously tons of competing smartphones out there that will challenge the Realme C1.
One of them is the Huawei Y6 2018, a device that came from a brand that’s currently on the roll here in the country. Much like Realme’s offering, the Y6 2018 comes with a really affordable price tag and has been tuned to cater to the needs of the masses.
So, in our Realme C1 versus Huawei Y6 2018 specifications and features comparison, we’ll see which between these two devices is worth your hard-earned money. Let’s begin!

Well, it appears that the Realme C1 gets an easy win over the Huawei Y6 2018. While the two have similarities in some areas, Realme’s bet easily outshines the Y6 2018 in key areas in the specs department.
For starters, the Realme C1 has a much larger screen. The Y6 2018’s 5.7-inch display is nothing against its 6.2-inch panel. Plus, the C1 has the trendy display notch and much thinner bezels on the side. Moreover, the Realme C1 also has a shinier, glass-like back panel. This provides a more premium look than the boring unibody metal that the latter has.

Other than the display and design, the Realme C1 should also have a better performance over the Y6 2018. This comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, which is undeniably more powerful than the Snapdragon 425 quad-core chip of the Y6 2018.
The Realme C1 comes with Android 8.1 Oreo, while the latter settles for 8.0. However, no one might even notice the difference as they both come with their own respective custom user interface.
Lastly, we have the Realme C1’s other “big” feature — the 4,230mAh battery, which easily beats the 3,000mAh battery of Huawei’s offering. In fact, we rarely see this much battery to come to a device at this price point, so this is a huge point advantage for Realme.
As for the cameras, both devices come with 13-megapixel shooters on the back, and a 5-megapixel one on the front for selfies. They also come with the same 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a Face Unlock feature to compensate for the missing fingerprint scanner.
The interesting part is, despite the Realme C1’s obvious advantages over the Huawei Y6 2018, these two rivals have the same exact price tag of Php5,990. And if you get the Realme C1 on December 5, its official launch date, you can purchase it at a special price discount of only Php5,490.
Realme C1 is better as the chipset on it easily destroys the 425 on the huawei as well as having a bigger battery.
