Just a few months after the Vivo V7 Plus was released, the Chinese company already came up with a follow-up. The Vivo V9, when it was released back in March, was Vivo’s best midrange offering here in the country.
The Vivo V9 has a sleek design, large display, good cameras, and excellent battery life, which easily made it a compelling option for most people.
Fast-forward to today, we have yet another release from Vivo. The Vivo V11, as expected, brings tons of improvements over its predecessor. Probably the most noticeable one is its in-display fingerprint scanner, which we only saw on Vivo’s more expensive releases like the X21.
However, having better features also means that it has a higher price tag. So, here in our Vivo V11 versus Vivo V9 specifications and features comparison, we’re about to see if consumers should get the newer handset, or they should just settle with the V9. Read on to find the answers to these questions.

The table above clearly shows that the Vivo V11 is the better smartphone compared to the Vivo V9. But that doesn’t mean that the V9 is a lousy competitor, especially since it’s now cheaper than its initial price upon release.
Now that it’s more affordable, the Vivo V9 still poses a great value for the price. It has a large 6.3-inch FHD+ screen, which is enough to make playing games and watching videos immersive. Its Snapdragon 626 processor can also handle most games decently.
As I stated earlier, it has a great pair of cameras, and a really dependable battery life, something that we were able to test in our full review of this device. For its price of Php14,990, the Vivo V9 is a decent alternative to the V11.
But then, if you want something “extra”, and you have the money to go with it, then the Vivo V11 is your obvious option between the two. For starters, it comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, a cool new feature that we expect to go mainstream by 2019.

It also has a more stunning Super AMOLED display and a smaller notch on top, which makes its screen really appetizing to look at.
And of course, it has a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with 6GB of RAM. That’s a more serious combination than the Snapdragon 626 and 4GB RAM setup of the V9.
Vivo also equipped it with a 3,400mAh battery, which is marginally larger than the 3,260mAh battery that the latter has. I did say earlier that the V9 has good battery performance, so expect an even higher longevity with the V11.
In addition, the Vivo V11 comes with the new dual-engine fast-charging technology, so you can fill the battery back to 100% faster.
But then again, all those extra features come at a price. The Vivo V11 has a retail price of INR25,990, which is at around Php19,500 when directly convertedĀ to Philippine pesos. Vivo Philippines will announce the official local price on September 11, but we can definitely expect it to be in the Php19,000 to Php20,000 range.
