Have you tried opening ‘Chrome’ or ‘Firefox’ using Bing in Edge browser from Windows 10?
If yes, you must have seen a pop up notification which tells you that “Microsoft Edge is the faster, safer browser on Windows 10 and is already installed on your PC”. It specifically states that Microsoft Edge lets you browse longer, and faster, offers built-in protection and built-in assistance.
This is how Microsoft plays their game just to make you use their Edge Browser. Now talk about being flimsy, Microsoft also has pulled up from their sleeve a viler trick to make you use their Edge Browser – the same notification which will pop up every single time unless you go into Settings and stop Windows 10 from offering recommendations.
According to Wayne Williams, this instance is currently showing up on Windows 10 version 1809 Insider builds, yet it’s unsure if it will also appear after the October 2018 update. Moreover, it may be bad blood – but Microsoft also stops user from installing safe programs of a different browser.
Just recently, Microsoft declared that Windows 7 will require a monthly fee for security patches – applicable for those who have Volume Licensing. What could be next?
