NVIDIA has finally launched the GeForce RTX 4060 series for those who are looking for a cheaper alternative GPU with the brand’s latest GPU architecture. Here we have the new RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti.
First, let’s talk about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, which comes with an AD107 GPU that has 3072 CUDA cores. It has a base clock of 1.83GHz with a boost clock of 2.45GHz. As per NVIDIA, it’s 1.2x faster than its predecessor.
It then has 8GB 128-bit GDDR6 memory at 17Gbps speeds and 24MB L2 cache. Just like other Ada Lovelace cards, the new RTX 4060 comes with 3rdh-gen RT cores and 4th-gen Tensor cores that make DLSS 3 Frame Generation possible.
The chip also has a 1x 8th-gen NVIDIA Encoder (NVENC) for AV1 encoding and decoding, a 115W power rating, and comes with a single 12VHPWR connector or a single 8-pin or 6-pin connector depending on the maker. It has a starting price of USD299 (~Php16,600) and will be available this July from manufacturers — no Founders Edition.
Meanwhile, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti comes with a bigger AD106 GPU with 4342 CUDA cores. It has a clock speed of 2.21GHz that boosts at 2.54GHz. It is said to be 1.15x faster than its predecessor.
It comes in two GDDR6 memory: 8GB and 16GB. Both are 128-bit memory clocked at 18Gbps with 32MB L2 cache. The 8GB has 160W of power while the 16GB is at 165W.
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti starts at USD399 (~Php22,200) for the 8GB while the 16GB model will begin at USD499 (~Php27,800). The former will be available on May 24 while the 16GB will arrive in July.
