Do you still have a cable subscription to watch Disney TV channels? Well, we got some bad news for you.

Starting October 1, select Disney TV channels will stop airing in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.

National Geographic, one of the most popular cable TV channels, will be gone in SEA TVs, as well as National Geographic Wild, Baby TV, Star Chinese Channel, and Star Chinese Movies.

Local cable TV provider Sky confirmed that the last transmission date of the channels was on September 30, at exactly 11:59:59. Sky then suggested alternatives that are still available in their service: History Channel, Discovery, Cartoonito, CGTN, and more.

This isn’t the first time Disney has made a similar move as it closed its sports-centric channels in Taiwan in 2020. By 2021, it also removed Fox, Fox Crime, Fox Life, Channel V, FX, and more.

If you’re a big fan of these channels, you can still watch them by getting a subscription to Disney+, the company’s video-on-demand streaming platform.
