The Philippine release date of the new Super Mario Bros. movie has been announced.
Universal Pictures revealed that The Super Marios Bros. Movie will be released in the Philippines on April 19. While the game it was based on isn’t really known for its storytelling, the makers did promise that it will feature a thrilling story that the whole family, especially those who grew up playing Mario will enjoy.

The story centers around Brooklyn plumbers Mario and Luigi who, while working to fix an underground water main, were transported down a mysterious pipe and “wandered into a magical new world.”
However, when separated, Mario went on an adventure to find his brother with the help of Toad, a Mushroom Kingdom resident. Plus, with some training from the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach. You can watch the full trailer below:
The movie tapped some A-listers to voice its characters. There’s Chris Pratt voicing Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, and Seth Rogen playing Donkey Kong.
